Nomis 1.1

Nomis?
Imagine this situation if you will. On a Friday evening, you meet with a couple of friends and you go out for some cold ones, glad that you have some free time on your hands and you can relax and unwind. As the night progresses, one of your friends starts talking about the new album a band you all like recently released. Everyone listened to the album, but you have you no idea what they’re talking about. With work, a new boss, problems at home, and other nuisances, you simply did not have time to focus on other things, like finding out what that band did and what new album it released.
There is an app for pretty much anything you can think of, so you can be sure there’s an app that can help you in a situation such as the one presented above. That app is the Taprockets-developed Nomis. Andreas Fuchs and Sven Büttner came up with the idea behind the Nomis app and executed it brilliantly. I sure am glad they came up with this app, because the functionality it has to offer is quite useful.
What this app does is it informs you when music you might be interested in has been released. It scans your music library to see what artists/bands you like to listen to. Then, using the information it collected by scanning your library, it tells you about upcoming albums and singles.
The simple truth of the matter is that even though you follow a musician’s Twitter or regularly visit that musician’s website, you may miss the release of an album – either because you were too busy, or because you were on vacation, or for any other reason. Thanks to Nomis you don’t have to worry about missing an album. It will remind you about new music released by your favorite musician. Not only that, it allows you to preview new albums and singles released by the musician, and it hooks you up so you can easily purchase music from the iTunes Store.
Any music lover can benefit from the functionality the Nomis app has to offer. It will track your favorite artists for you and tell you when they released new singles and/or albums. You don’t have to scour the web for info on the newest albums or singles, Nomis does it for you and keeps you in the loop.
